Scheduling A Mediation
Roni Seely handles my scheduling. Contact her at or (972) 265-8310. For scheduling requests, email Roni to check on your preferred dates or range of dates. Please provide the names of all parties and counsel, a brief descripton of the dispute, and the parties preferences as to virtual or in-person. You’re welcome to call me directly, but I may be in mediation and unable to respond immediately.
About Scheduling on the National Association of Distinguished Neutrals Online Calendar (also accessible at nadn.org/Steve-Nelson)
The Calendar on this page is updated daily. To use its full features, you may need to enter your email address. You do not, however, need to schedule anything through that site. You may contact my assistant, Roni Seely or me directly with your scheduling needs. The more information you can provide with an initial inquiry about names of parties and counsel, a brief description of the dispute, and preferred venue...virtual or in-person (and where)...the less likely available dates will dispapear before we can get you confirmed. The wording on the NADN calendar can be confusing. Requesting a date from that site does not mean that it is being held for you. It means we have your inquiry for scheduling that date and will get back to you to confirm availability or request additional information.
If a date is shown as “Available All Day” it means that it is certainly available for a “virtual” (Zoom) mediation. It may be available for an in-person mediation locally or elsewhere. Contact us to determine availability for in-person mediations, You can get a good idea as to in-person availability by looking at the dates immediately before and after. We try to put a note on the location of our in-person mediations that are booked or on hold. If you see that I have a mediation the day before out of state, travel to or from those mediations. An available date could become unavailable at any time, and we do not commit to hold a date or confirm a date without first having information on the parties and counsel, a brief statement of the dispute, and an indication of your preference for in-person vs. virtual mediation.
We understand how difficult it is to find dates that work for lots of busy attorneys and parties. Once we have the initial file information, and confirmation that the parties have reviewed our fee schdule, we usually can agree to hold a date or two for 24-72 hours while you confirm availability with other parties.
